Day 7, A Week in Review | 100 Days of Code
I’ve learned a lot. And I’ve learned that I know almost nothing.
Soundtrack:
Rage of the Myrmidons by Daren Korb
Recap:
Continued working on the pygame project, setting up the basic structures, drawing figures to the screen, searching out two bugs because of missed keystrokes, and toying with settings. Did a bit of a comparative reading of the opening chapter of Automate the Boring Stuff to review the basics, again. Did some reading on some basic operational skills I should know better.
Thoughts:
It has been one hell of a week. I am enjoying this whole thing, but with just me, myself, and I to bounce ideas off of, I find myself overwhelmed pretty easily. It really makes me appreciate the idea of having a community. /r/LearnPython on Reddit and StackExchange are so invaluable, but sometimes I find myself wishing I had more in the way of folks around me trying to do what I am trying to do.
Plans:
7 down, 93 to go. Given where I am at now, after a week of working through this book, I really have no clue where I’ll be in another 3 months. But I’m looking forward to being there.
